Just 5km up our valley is the spectacular Toorongo and Ampitheatre falls. Perhaps the most spectacular and accessible falls in the West Gippsland and Mt Baw Baw region.
A well constructed walking circuit takes in the two falls, the signage (at the car park) indicates that the walk takes well over an hour but at a decent walking pace it can be completed in approximately 45 minutes.
The mountain ash forest is towering and lush, the falls are gushing. Observing cool mountain water cascading is an awe inspiring sight in such dry times.
