There is a whole lot of new experiences at Mt Baw Baw this year including Bungee Tramp, snow tubing and a Jacuzzi.
If your wanting a thrill seeking activity try the bungee Tramp, it will bounce you high in the air while suspended in a harness.
Or try a short course in Tubing, as a fun alternative to tobogganing. You will spin, bounce and slide safely down a snow covered slope on a specially designed tube. This is also set to become a year round activity, offered on a special dry slope after the snow melts.
Also the first in Australia is the going to be the Big Air Bag. It’s a giant blowup air cushion positioned behind a 2 metre height by 3.5 metre wide jump for snowboarders and skiers practising stunts and first time jumps. It guarantees a soft landing.
For those who just want to relax or take in the scenery the new Wellness Centre and Rock Spa pool will be opening for the ski season starting on the 12th June,
The Rock Spa pool will be a hot Jacuzzi in natural rock surrounded by snow gums, and the Wellness centre will be offering sauna, massage and gym.
The highlight this year will be the Christmas in July festival happening on the 24-25 July, there will be fairy lights, decorations, Christmas tunes, festive fare and a snow boarding santa to perform tricks on the slopes.
River chalets are only 41 minutes from Mt Baw Baw by car, the directions are easy, or if you choose to leave the car you can catch Baw Baw Betty – the shuttle bus from Noojee. The bus departs from Noojee at around 9am and convienantly arrives back at the end of the day around 5.30pm. Prices start from $25 per person one way, or family package deals available.
