Toorongo River Sanctuary is 90 minutes drive via the South Eastern, Monash and Princes Freeways. Turn left at the C102 (Drouin Warragul Rd) exit and proceed via Neerim South until you get to Noojee.
Via the Eastern Freeway / Powelltown
Alternatively take the Maroondah and Warburton Highway to Yarra Junction, then proceed via Powelltown along the Yarra Junction-Noojee Road. At the T-intersection, turn left towards Noojee onto Main Neerim Road / Mt Baw Baw Tourist Drive.
From Noojee Village to Toorongo River Sanctuary
At Noojee, turn right onto Mount Baw Baw Tourist Drive. Continue for about 5km. You will pass a saw mill, cross the Latrobe river, Toorongo River and soon after turn left onto Toorongo Valley Road at the sign pointing to the Toorongo Falls.
Toorongo River Sanctuary is 1.05 km from the turn off. You will see some black fencing and gate posts with 105 on the rail, turn left here and proceed down the driveway and cross the bridge. If you are staying in the Redwood Family River Lodge then proceed to the house on the hill. If you are staying in one of the Romantic River Lodges’ then turn right after the big Oak tree and continue to the rustic and charming barn at the end of the track.
